JOY

Today was the perfect day to build a snowman with my class! The snow was fluffy and perfect packing snow! We got a cowboy hat from the dress-up closet and we used radishes for the eyes! I absolutely love my class at the early childhood center in the Jewish Community Center! They bring me sooo much joy everyday! Children keep life so simple and they make me laugh at the stupidest things! Happy Hanukkah this week! We have been busy all week making latkes, lighting our menorah, and playing the dreidel game! Life is good!

The cutest Ralphs twins ever!

Everyday I make sure I get to see my little buddies! They are the funniest little kids, so full of energy. I don't think they ever walk they seem to prance around the room like little monkeys! I love making them smile, laugh, or giggle!

A day in the life of a pre-school teacher Tess

Brace yourself, drink your morning rockstar cuz you are in the toddler B room for the next five hours. (14 kids age 2 turning 3 this coming year!) So, the morning starts out smoothly I arrive at...

7:30 am to assist the early risers. Then I find out that my co-teacher is not going to be in the classroom with me today and I have an incompetent sub that doesn't do toddlers. That means I'll be changing all the diapers and that I will have to be the head referee today.

8:30 am and school has started with the twins aka tornados arriving running into the classroom at full speed to wash their hands. If I turn my back for a few seconds there is water all over the place, a mini flood in the classroom.

9:00 am the director of the pre-school informs me that we will have a fire drill in ten minutes so it will scare the children so be ready. Quickly I told the class to get their jackets/sweatshirts on to go outside. This is a complicated process with fourteen little two year olds, who can't do zippers.

9:10 am One boy starts crying scared of transitioning to another place besides the classroom during the fire drill. Getting the entire class down a flight of stairs is quite a process to say the least!

9:30 Clean up time
9:45 Snack time
10:00 Circle time/ Story time
10:30 Center exploration
11:00 One of the kids bites the other kid
11:30 One of the kids throws up his lunch all over the place
12:00 change four poopy diapers borderline loose stools
12:15 drink a diet pepsi
12:30 nap time feeewwww!

HDOS

If you know me, then you would know, that I used to work at Hot Dog on a Stick!!! What can I say, it was a fun job! I got to work with my fabulous cousins and drink fresh lemonade all day! I also fell in love with the pepperjack cheese on a stick! Deliciously dipped in a little bit of mustard or fry-sauce! It says a lot about a company if an employee loves working there and still loves the food after years of it. Hot Dog on a Stick taught me how to work hard, spot clean, and always keep a smile on my face!

Memphis Road Trip 2009

Fine, I will update my freakin blog more than once a season! Just so my best friend and others will look at my blog more often. Summer 2009 started off with a blast I did a little road trip with Mrs. Allie Adams, my bestest friend in the world, that got married last year! She recently graduated from Nursing school in Tennessee and needed to drive home!
We made a few stops on the way including, Memphis "Graceland" home of Elvis the King! I love the Carolina blue Elvis outfit! Beale street was hilarious being the minority, a white blonde girl walking down the street! We got to dance at a bar like Coyote Ugly the movie! I bought some yummy Memphis BBQ sauce at the famous BB Kings!
Our next stop was in St. Louis, "The Gateway Arch" we went to the top in these little egg shaped elevators! Fun stuff if you don't have vertigo!
We ended our road trip with a fabulous stop at Mt. Rushmore, South Dakota! There was a night ceremony where they lit up the mountain and showed a movie of the men that were on Mt. Rushmore! George Washington looks the best!
Where in the heck in Wall Drug? Guess you had to be there! Peace out!

I miss Beatrice!

I love pot-bellied pigs! I used to have one as a pet, her name was Beatrice. My brother worked at a petting zoo ranch and gave me a pot-bellied pig for my birthday one year. She was soo tiny at first but soon grew too heavy to carry. I potty trained her to go in the cat liter, pigs are actually really clean animals believe it or not. They only go potty in one corner unlike dogs who go all over your backyard. My neighbors nicknamed my pig, Bacon, they would tease she was our food storage. But little do people know that pot-bellied pigs humans don't usually eat, we eat the large pink pigs. Pot-belly pigs only come in black and white! I still do love to eat barbacoa sweet pork from Cafe Rio.

It's going to be a Fabulous February!!!

So, I got a new car! A jeep grand cherokee! What can I say, it gets me from point A to point B! It's a gas hog but I love it!

Isaac walking the muddy streets of Peru

It was sooo fun to talk to my brother on Christmas day over the phone. It is amazing that my family could speak to him via satellite. Feliz Navidad music was blasting in the streets by his apartment! Next Christmas I am fixing to go pick him up with my brother Luke. There is a Marriot Hotel in Lima, Peru...imagine that! My brother, Elder Ralphs has turned into an awesome missionary, full of excitement for missionary work and the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have missed having him home with the parents to hang out with and go out to eat with! He is really missing American food about now, he said he eats rice and beans every meal. And after a really hot day when he is sweating everywhere all he has to drink is a hot drink. I could not survive with out ice cold refreshing water!

2009 Life is good!!!

Okay my fellow brag-blog friends...this year I have made it a new year's resolution to update my blog weekly!! (Especially to all my friends who love to blog stalk!) So, start checking out the latest drama in Tess's life...I will do my best to make my posts a fun and interesting read! 2009 is my year I can just feel the change a coming! Time to get healthy, find a righteous man, and go places I've always wanted to go! -Tess
